BANGKOK YOUTH SOCCER,

sponsored by SUPHANBURI FC

Bangkok Youth Soccer (BYS) is a parent-run league, with support from ISB, that provides a place for boys and girls ages 4-18 to develop their soccer skills in a safe, structured, and fun environment. It is open to ISB and the local community children.

For the school year 2018-19, the league will run from the week of August 21 to Tournament weekend on November 3. During the season there will be one training session during the weekdays followed by one game every Saturday at ISB, except where noted on the schedule. The weekly training schedule for each division can be found on Training Page.

This year’s program will again be run by Bangkok Soccer School (BSS) except they will now be leading the Saturday session too. They will provide leadership in team development and coaching. Parents will have the opportunity to assist these head coaches and volunteers are needed to support the program for the children.

Parents will have the opportunity to be Parent Coach alongside the BSS coach. Parent coaches and volunteers are needed to support the program for the children.

The first sessions will take place during the week of August 20. Please come in accordance to the Weekly Training. Player Assessment will be done during the first week and finalized on Saturday, August 25. Assessment sessions are NOT tryouts. All players will be placed on a team in the most balanced way possible.

Registration will be open from the middle of June and closed on August 25. Registration fee is 5,200 THB per player, which includes the uniform fee.

If you need to withdraw, please note the 500 BHT registration fee will be non-refundable if withdraw is after team selection and before Sept. 7. There will be NO REFUND for those who wish to withdraw after Sept.7 unless it is for medical reasons.

You can make your payment at the Community Activity Office (CAO) or pay by Thai bank wire transfer. Cash, credit cards and Thai baht checks are accepted for payment at the CAO office. The CAO Office is open Monday -Friday, 7:00AM to 11:00AM and 12:00PM to 3:00PM.

For the BYS to run and have a successful season, we are in need of volunteers. The Bangkok Soccer School’s professional coaches will run the weekly practices and coach the Saturday games with Parent coaches. We are in need of volunteer coaches. It is not necessary for the Parent coaches to necessarily attend all practices, however, if available it would be great for the kids. If you are interested in being an assistant coach, sponsor, or volunteer, please contact BYS.

Mission & Code of Conduct

At BYS, we strive to develop the skills and knowledge of soccer in a fun and supportive environment. We ask that all participants, spectators, and coaches follow the rules, respect each other, and work together to make BYS fun for all.  Our ultimate goal is not to make professional athletes, but to raise children into adults who are healthy, happy, and cooperative in all professions.
As BYS is held on the campus of ISB, we ask all participants, adhere to the Panther Pride code of conduct. Click HERE to find the details.

Green Panthers & BYS

This year BYS is excited to Partner with Green Panthers. Together we will be looking at ways to reduce the environmental impact of our league. To be successful, we will need your help.

  • Bring a reusable water bottle to games and training. Don’t forget to bring one for yourself as well as your player.
  • If your team has a snack schedule, try to bring snacks without individual packaging, etc.
  • Think of ways to avoid printing the schedule or team lists.
  • Donate your used equipment and uniforms to charity.
  • Check back for more exciting environmentally friendly initiatives!

Age Groups

  • BYS is divided into 8 divisions by grade and gender, except for the Minis and Premier, in which the boys and girls play together.
  • The grade is based on the ISB system. Non-ISB students should register using the ISB equivalent grade for their age or school year. For example, a Year 3 student at St. Andrews, would most likely be a grade 2 student at ISB.
  • For the Mini Division, children must have turned 4 by the start of the season, August 31st 2018.
  • BYS encourages children to play with their peers. For most children it is more fun and developmentally appropriate to do so. However, if you feel that your child should play in a different division, please forward a copy of your registration receipt to Bangkokyouthsoccer@gmail.comwith your request. For safety reasons, any division changes are subject to assessment by the division coordinators and BSS training staff.
