On Friday, September 5, 2026, Middle School students and teachers gathered in the ISB Theatre for a special Wai Kru Assembly, a tradition that honors and expresses gratitude to teachers. The event, held during an extended advisory period, was filled with music, ceremony, and celebration of the student teacher bond.
The assembly began with the King’s anthem, beautifully performed on piano, followed by a warm welcome and introduction by student MCs. A group of students then led the traditional Pa Che Ra chant, paying respect to teachers. One of the most meaningful moments came as students presented floral garlands to their teachers on stage, a gesture that highlighted appreciation and respect for their guidance.
The program continued with performances and student created media. The Middle School Choir shared their talents on stage, while videos showcased heartfelt student gratitude and valuable “Teacher Tips for Success.” A lively Brain Break and house based Ready to Learn Charades brought energy and fun, engaging everyone in the theater, including teachers who joined in on stage.The assembly closed with inspiring remarks from Middle School Principal Mr. Harter, who emphasized gratitude, connection, and the joy of learning. It was a wonderful reminder of the respect and appreciation that underpin life at ISB.
