The PreK program at ISB offers a nurturing environment where children learn with joy and curiosity. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, the program embraces the idea that children have “a hundred languages” to express themselves through art, music, storytelling, drama, movement, and play. These many forms of expression help them explore ideas, solve problems, and build meaningful connections with others.
In this approach, the environment is considered a “third teacher.” Classrooms and outdoor spaces are intentionally designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and discovery. Teachers listen closely, observe children’s interests, and guide projects that make learning visible and relevant. From artistic creations to outdoor exploration, every experience encourages children to think deeply and learn in ways that matter to them.
Parents are valued partners in this journey, working alongside teachers to nurture empathy, confidence, and the joy of lifelong learning. Together, we help children grow into curious, capable learners.
