On 9 September 2026, a delegation of 25 members from International School Bangkok (ISB) joined a royal merit-making ceremony in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall in the Grand Palace. The delegation paid their respects as Her Majesty’s remains lie in state ahead of the Royal Cremation Ceremony later this year.
The delegation included Ajarn Usa Somboon, Dr. Daisy Pellant, Debi Caskey, Marc de Vries, members of the ISB Leadership Team, Teachers, and Thai parent representatives. Together, they took part in a ceremony held in honour and commemoration of Her Majesty's royal benevolence and lifelong dedication to the people of Thailand.
The visit gave the delegation a meaningful opportunity to reflect on Her Majesty's enduring contributions to Thai society, culture, and national development, and to express their deepest respect and gratitude.
For generations, ISB has called Thailand home, and the delegation's participation reflected the school's respect for Thai traditions and appreciation for the country and its people.
We extend our sincere reverence to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and join people across Thailand in honouring her remarkable service, compassion, and lasting legacy.
