NFC

Welcome from the New Faculty Coordinators (NFC)

Starting at a new school, city, or country can feel overwhelming. At ISB, we ensure every new staff member feels welcome, supported, and ready to thrive from day one.  When employees thrive, students thrive too.

Our New Faculty Coordinators work closely with the HR team to support a seamless transition for our newest community members. Those relocating to Bangkok will receive transition support from their arrival in Bangkok through arrival at their new home equipped with a welcome kit of essential groceries and household items.

A comprehensive orientation program during the first few days will include practical trips to places like IKEA and local markets, along with social outings to help the new employee cohort connect. In addition to survival Thai lessons and local field trips, we provide tailored support in opening Thai bank accounts, setting up SIM cards, and navigating other aspects of daily life in Thailand. Throughout the year, the NFCs will keep the spirits high with organized activities and little surprises to make the onboarding process memorable and smooth.

Samakee Garden

Samakee Gardens: Teacher Housing and Community Living

The majority of our new teaching staff join the friendly community in our Teacher Housing, 'Samakee Gardens'. Located just a few minutes from school by bike or golf cart, Samakee Gardens offers a mixture of spacious 2 and 3 bedroom apartments plus five large Townhomes. The green and leafy community boasts two swimming pools, a basketball court, BBQ area, dog park, children's playground, a laundry room and more. Lasting friendships are easily made between inhabitants with regular events and get-togethers organized.
