Panther Dance

Your child will enjoy fun exercises in music qualities and rhythms, story-telling with movement, and free dance with various props, while enhancing basic motor skills, physical and space awareness and developing balance.

*Please make sure your child is ready to enter the dance room independently. If not able to engage willingly in class activities without crying/disrupting the class, it may be beneficial to give your child more time to mature on his/her own. Kindly note that a refund won’t be possible.

The major goal is for children to experience the joy of dance, by exploring basic dance movements providing a foundation for all forms of dance. Simple coordination and music exercises will be emphasized. Different styles of music will help children build an understanding of rhythm.

This class will enhance your child's coordination, balance and flexibility with the teaching of basic ballet steps and positions through standing work and simple floor exercises in a structured yet fun setting. Young people are trained to become disciplined and versatile dancers who have a professional attitude toward dance.

This class combines modern dance, jazz, and other dance styles. Through fun and engaging activities, children will learn basic jazz movements, improve their coordination, and develop rhythm and musicality. This class focuses on fostering creativity and confidence in a supportive and joyful environment. Young people are trained to become disciplined and versatile dancers who have a professional attitude toward dance.

A graceful and enchanting art form, ballet is a very demanding discipline, which brings strength, confidence and appreciation for music. The students will learn the fundamental elements of classical ballet at either the beginning or intermediate/advanced level, developing proper body alignment, musicality and improving fitness through barre and center work.

Always changing and ever-evolving, contemporary dance techniques encourage and reward creative freedom and artistic expression. The class incorporates elements from many styles of dance from ballet to jazz. There are no boundaries to movements, using other genres such as Yoga or Kung Fu, mime theater. The combinations develop posture, coordination and memorization with a strong focus on movement qualities using different styles of music.

Hip hop dance is a high-energy style of street dance that originated in the United States during the late 1960s and early 1970s. It encompasses a variety of movements. A fun, energetic class building confidence, style and groove! The focus is on developing rhythm and coordination while encouraging individual style and freedom. These fast-paced, athletic, energetic types of dances are often seen in music videos and commercials.

Modern jazz dance is a dynamic and expressive dance style that blends elements of classical ballet, modern dance, and jazz techniques. It emphasizes high energy, precision, and often incorporates isolation and syncopation. This dance form is known for its versatility, combining technical skill with creative and emotional expression. Students will learn dance technique, including isolation movements, preparation for turns, leaps and learn choreography in various styles.

The goal is to work on improving strength and flexibility, using correct alignment and proper positioning through floor work, barre and center practice. The dancers will perform all the exercises on demi-pointe in Ballet slippers until they are ready to go on pointe. This decision will be at the discretion of the teacher. This class will also greatly benefit dancers wishing to improve their ballet technique.

This is a class for advanced students who have reached the level to be on pointe. It will include more complex and difficult technique exercises. Pointe work will be emphasized.
*These students are expected to take at least two ballet classes a week.

Tap Dance is an exciting, percussive, rhythmical dance form. The dancer uses their feet to strike the floor, beating out a melody, with tap shoes which have small metal plates on the toe and heel to give the distinctive sound. Tap dance is a theatrical art form often seen on screen and stage in musicals.

The technique classes are private sessions for dancers enrolled with Panther Dance. Classes are designed to supplement regular classes. The focus is on technique, dance vocabulary and specific dance skills tailored to an individual's learning needs and pace.

This dynamic course introduces students to the elegance of ballet and the energy of jazz dance. Perfect for beginners, students will learn graceful ballet techniques and lively jazz steps.
