Panther Robotics
Panther Robotics is a program for students to learn and enhance their STEM skills through hands-on learning! Panther Robotics have programs for students from Grades 4 and up.
In Grades 4-8, students participate in the First Lego League Challenge. There are 2 classes for First Lego League, one for ES Grades 4-5 and another for MS Grades 6-8.
High School students can participate in our Steel Panthers after school program.
FIRST LEGO League Challenge - Grades 4-8
Friendly competition is at the heart of Challenge, as teams of students ages 9-16 engage in research, problem-solving, coding and engineering – building and programming a LEGO Spike Prime robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. As part of Challenge, teams also participate in a research project to identify and solve a relevant real-world problem. The main emphasis is working as a team through teamwork, fun, and inclusion. The activity will focus on developing the basics in coding and building a Spike Prime LEGO robot. This culminates in a tournament where students compete in the robot game, present their innovation project, robot design and show how they displayed core values as a team. Watch this video to learn more about this exciting program and a highlight ISB video from our tournament in 22-23.
The 23-24 theme is called Masterpiece which focuses on innovation in the Arts. See the full teaser video to learn more.
Steel Panthers - Grades 9 - 12
The after-school Robotics program offered in the High School is of the highest caliber and is a continuously growing program. Our exceptional teams, known as Steel Panthers, compete at Vex Thai Nationals and also in other regional competitions held in Taiwan and Japan. In 2022 and 2023, we won the Thai Nationals and were proud to represent Thailand at the Vex World Championship Tournament held in Dallas, Texas, USA. ISB takes great pride in being the premier Robotics program in Thailand, and our students relish the valuable experiences that come with being a part of the Robotics team. They can be seen working on their robots during their free periods, after-school, on weekends, and sometimes even during school holidays.
