IB Diploma Program Results

We are delighted to recognize the outstanding achievements of the Class of 2025 in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) exams.  Our students brought with them a wide range of talents, interests, and goals, and the IB program provided a rigorous, globally recognized framework through which they challenged themselves and grew in pursuit of what matters most to them.

This year, 95 students earned the IB Diploma, with a strong average score of 34 points, well above the global average of 30.58. In addition, 16% of students exceeded the remarkable threshold of earning 40 points or more, with a highest score of 44.

We’re also proud that 34% of students earned the IB Bilingual Diploma, reflecting the cultural richness and linguistic capabilities within our community. Coursework was completed in eight languages: Chinese, English, French, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Thai, and Dutch.  This is an example of the many pathways our students take to success.

These results speak to more than strong academics, they highlight how ISB students are encouraged to shape their own academic paths.  With flexibility in IB Diploma course selection and a focus on individual goals, our students were able to tailor their experience in meaningful ways. That sense of choice and direction helped them pursue university options that truly fit who they are.  This thoughtful approach has led to strong university results, as students gained acceptance to institutions around the world that reflect their goals, interests, and the learning community where they can thrive.

AP Program Results

Our Advanced Placement (AP) Program continues to grow rapidly as a rigorous and flexible academic pathway.  In response to student interest and demand, ISB has significantly expanded its AP offerings, adding 11 new AP courses last year.  This growth has created more opportunities for students to engage with college-level content in subjects aligned with their personal ambitions, starting as early as Grade 10.

This year, 28.5% of eligible students took at least 1 AP exam, with a remarkable 277 exams completed – a seven-fold increase from the 32 exams taken in 2024.

These outstanding results show how ISB students are not only taking on the challenge of AP, but thriving in a pathway that offers depth, choice and early exposure to the demands of college-level study.  The remarkable growth in the program shows the expanding appeal of AP at ISB, particularly for students motivated to dive deep into specific subject areas and challenge themselves to engage beyond high school rigor.

The Class of 2025 earned placements and are continuing their journeys at top institutions across North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia.

The Class of 2025 was guided by our ISB University Counselors,  a trusted, highly experienced team known for their strategic, student-centered approach. Under the leadership of our new Director of University Counseling, the team expanded and introduced a modernized counseling curriculum and advising process.  These enhancements directly strengthened outcomes, as students received more personalized guidance, successfully navigated complex application landscapes and connected their individual strengths with the right university opportunities around the world.

This wide-ranging list of matriculations is a reflection of the  diverse interests, talents, and ambitions within our student body and our commitment to supporting each student’s journey toward a purposeful and well-matched future.

Continuing the Quest

These achievements are a powerful reflection of our students’ dedication, our faculty’s support, and ISB’s commitment to purposeful learning.  Beyond the outstanding academic results, students in the Class of 2025 were fully engaged in the classroom, on the field, on the stage, and in labs and studios. This well-rounded engagement enabled them to achieve more than academic success. 

They are each pursuing their own quest. A quest to grow, to contribute, and to shape their future with confidence.
