Message  from the Head of School

Debi
Welcome to International School Bangkok. Whether you’re exploring schools for the first time or looking for the right next step for your child, you’re likely asking a simple question beneath all the details: Will my child be known, challenged, and supported here?

At ISB, our answer starts with how we define learning. Learning isn’t just completing assignments or earning grades. It’s building the habits and confidence to ask better questions, persist through challenges, collaborate with others, and take ownership of next steps. It’s academic growth, yes, and it’s also character, wellbeing, and purpose.

Some families assume the “best” school is the one that is only rigorous, only competitive, or only focused on outcomes. That’s not what we believe. We believe students thrive when high expectations are paired with strong relationships, expert teaching, and the space to choose their path. Students learn deeply when they feel safe to take intellectual risks, and when they have adults who know how to guide, stretch, and coach them.

You’ll see this across ISB: in classrooms where students are thinking, designing, writing, building, performing, and revising; in a community that values belonging; and in programs that help students discover what they care about and how they can contribute.

If you’re considering ISB, I invite you to visit our campus, meet our people, and ask the questions that matter most to your family. We’d be honored to learn more about your child and to show you what learning can feel like when it’s both ambitious and human.

Warmly,

Debi Caskey
