Our Heritage
The sophisticated, leading-edge campus of today reflects a remarkable journey that began on May 14, 1951, as Thailand's first international school. From a single wooden building on the U.S. Embassy grounds, ISB opened its doors with just 50 students and a dedicated group of volunteer parents.
ISB flourished, it became the essential hub for the international community in central Bangkok. This era of growth established our reputation as a pillar of educational excellence in Asia and paved the way for our move to a more expansive, purpose-built environment.
Today, ISB offers a serene, world-class learning experience within a lush tropical community. While our setting has evolved, our spirit remains constant. As an independent, not-for-profit school guided by clear values for over 70 years, we remain committed to the academic excellence and global outlook that prepares our students for what comes next.
