ISB Panther Winter Long Course Time Trial 2009

What: Fifth Annual Winter Long Course Time Trial and End of Semester Celebration
When: December 9th and 10th (Wednesday and Thursday)
•· Warmup begins immediately after school
•· First event begins at 2:45 both days
•· Meet finishes on Wednesday by 5:00
•· Thursday's swims are followed by End of Semester Celebration
Where: Nichada Pool
Most of our meets are in 25 meter pools like our pool at ISB, yet many meets in other countries take place in 50 meter pools like the one at Nichada. The Olympics for example are always held in Long Course pools. It's a good opportunity for all swimmers to get a time in many different events in the long pool. Immediately following our time trial on Thursday, we have our end of the semester party at Nichada. We'll have more on that as we get closer.
Each swimmer may swim up to 4 events each day (I recommend 3). Coaches will work with the swimmers to choose events they are capable of doing yet may offer a bit of a challenge. This is a good time to try something a bit more difficult than usual in a low pressure environment. It IS a time trial and only our team will be participating. There are no starting blocks at Nichada and we will have no electronic timing. All swimmers will be entered automatically. Regrets are due to me by Friday December 4. All events are mixed for boys and girls. We split our events into 10+under and 11+over to make marshaling easier but times are kept by age group. Here are the events:
