What is the "Booster Club"?
The Booster Club is a group of dedicated, fun-loving, enthusiastic parent volunteers (as well as administrators, alumni, friends of ISB, anyone!) who help promote or "boost" school spirit and "Panther Pride" at ISB! The Booster Club's mission is to support the ISB athletics and fine and performing arts programs, in particular IASAS (Interscholastic Association of Southeast Asia Schools), while all the time enhancing school spirit throughout our amazing school!
Some of the activities organized by the Booster Club are:
- Spirit nights/spirit events honoring individual sports teams and the fine and performing arts/academic groups
- Photo spirit boards showcasing student athletes and performers
- Providing "panther team parents" and "art advocate parents" to assist coaches and advisors for each individual sports team and fine and performing arts/academic groups
- IASAS "send offs" showering traveling students with Booster gifts such as IASAS travel bags, yummy treats and good luck wishes
- Helping house visiting student athletes/cultural participants
- Providing hospitality for visiting coaches and students
- Hosting end of the season sports and cultural convention banquet celebrations
- Contributing to the Touchstone publication by providing athletic/fine and performing arts/academic news
- Encouraging and supporting BISAC MS and ES events
The Booster Club's two main fundraising events are the wildly popular annual Booster Club Pancake Breakfast, and the Friday "Booster Hut" selling exciting ISB spirit items and our famous Panther Pop cookies.
The fun never ends with Booster!
All of these activities are organized and carried out in keeping with the successful Booster tradition... to enhance the already incredible opportunities our children are having at ISB by helping to provide fun times and create special memories during their school years.
Booster Club Meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at 11:00 a.m. in the MPB#3. Everyone is welcome. The Booster Hut is open on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with the tasty Panther Pop cookies available the last Friday of every month!
The 2009-2010 Booster Club welcomes and invites you all to join in your children's activities and Booster events as we enjoy and share this year at ISB together.
