ISB Main Library supports the school's mission of "inspiring students to become passionate, reflective learners and informed, caring global citizens" by facilitating the effective, creative and and ethical use of information and the pursuit and appreciation of a wide variety of literature.

Many recommended reading Lists are available online, and most of these titles are also available from Main Library (check the catalog to confirm). Recommended Lists can be found at;
- Booklist "Best Books for Young Adults 2009" - nonfiction and fiction for ages 12 to 18. Titles published in late 2007 are noted; all others were published in 2008. Main Library has some titles and others are in consideration.
- CollegeBoard "101 Great Books" for the college-bound" Updated for 2009
- Leapfish Search for "Recommended Reading Lists gr9-12" (with Lexile reading levels)
- Pearson Publishers "Suggested Reading for HS (Gr. 9-12)"
ISB's Main Library is home to 24,000 print and 10,000 audiovisual, equipment and specialty items. Drop by to borrow an item, to do personal research at one of our 80 online terminals, or to browse the collections.

Be sure to ask too, about our new "Soft Seating" options in the MS and HS Fiction areas. With their addition in 2009, Main Library truly has "something for everyone."
