To help ensure that all students who participate in the ISB MS Activities / Athletics Program have a positive experience, the following needs of Middle School-aged children are the foundation of our mission:
- All Middle School students need to feel that they are genuinely members of their team/ensemble and truly share in their team/group’s success.
- All Middle School students need to feel that the role(s) they play on their team/ensemble are valued as highly as others and that they are integral to their team/group’s positive experience.
- When placed in competitive/performing situations, all Middle School students need to feel they have been adequately prepared and have a genuine opportunity for success, on a personal and/or a team/ensemble level.
- ISB Middle School Activities / Athletics Program students need to understand the importance of personal commitment, commitment to their team/ensemble, and the need to give one’s best to achieve success.
- ISB Middle School Activities / Athletics Program students need to understand the importance of sportspersonship/ensembleship and to be able to demonstrate it in practice/rehearsal and performance settings.
- ISB Middle School Activities / Athletics Program students need to achieve and feel a significant measure of meaningful personal success in order for them to wish to be an ongoing part of the ISB Program.
- ISB Middle School Activities / Athletics Program students need to have a measure of performance success, as a team/ensemble. In BISAC athletics, this can be measured in fixture and tournament success.
