AFRICAN AWARENESS CLUB

The African Awareness Club gives its members the opportunity to look beyond stereotypes in order to find a better understanding of Africa, its many countries, and its amazingly diverse cultures. Even though Africa has been oppressed and downtrodden, its wonderful cultures still live on.
JAPANESE AS A HERITAGE LANGUAGE CLUB

Meets Thursdays lunchtime and after school in room 3-112
Japanese as a heritage Language Club is to help MS and ES Japanese students to gain and deepen their understanding of Japanese culture and society. The activityincludes dramatizing Japanese folklore stories, making community newspapers, and learning about traditional events in Japan. Members of this club must also attend planning meetings to prepare for the activities. It is the club’s mandate to develop Japanese as a Heritage Language. Members will be awarded community service hours for their involvement.
KOREAN CLUB Mr. Sheridan Meets in room 317
Korean students who want to participate in Munch n? Music and the International Day Assembly are most welcome to join. This club will provide a forum for social interaction between Korean students in grades 9 12.
LATIN CLUB Madam Gatti Meets every Tuesday during Lunch in Madam Gatti’s room
A club that presents students with the many interesting facets of the spirit of ancient Rome through movies, cooking, language. All lovers of Latin (and Latin lovers) are welcome to this club. Toga! Toga! Toga! A community service project may be part of this club.
SPANISH CLUB Ms. Geneser, Mrs. Alonso
Meets every Friday during lunch in Room 3-108
Students will practice the language; do different activities such as cooking, viewing films, and participating in cultural events. Some community service might be available.
TAIWANESE CLUB Ms. Chiang Meeting day: Tuesday Lunch
This club aims to bring Chinese speakers and other international students to understand each other. Together, we will celebrate Chinese festivals, learn the Chinese culture and play cultural games. We also welcome students interested in Chinese current events to join us to discuss on various topics, bringing new ideas of activities, and most importantly, to have fun and memorable time.
THAI CLUB Ms. Hotra, Ms. Ruangtrakul Meets every Monday at lunch in room 3-103
This club works to promote good understanding between Thai students and other people who are interested in Thai culture and Thai community. Members meet to exchange ideas to present Thai way of life through cultural performances and other community involvements. Participants will help with organizing fund raising activities, among others.
THAI COOKING CLUB

Learn to appreciate and cook Thai food and able to carry and share Thai culture wherever you go. As a club, members will learn how to cook Thai food and experience Thai culture first hand.
