For these young learners, focus is on emergent literacy in a natural, gradual development of a child's listening, speaking, reading and writing while immersed in literacy, in a print enriched environment. Children are taught through repeated experiences in language through storytelling, oral communication, poems and rhymes, songs, and plays.
