Registration usually takes place at the beginning of the school year and must be renewed annually. Drop boxes are available in the ES Office and the HS Activities Office (near the nurse's station and bookstore) for two weeks following Community Activity Information Day. Forms are available from the drop boxes or you can download them using the links to the right.
Once regular meetings start, it is still possible to register if there are still spaces available. The registration fee for 2009-10 is 1,000 baht per child member, no matter when the child joins. Once regular meetings have started, registration forms and fees should be submitted directly to the flock/troop leader.
Girls and boys register according to age/grade level:
- Littlebirds: Kindergarten (age 5-6) girls and boys (boys may join Cub Scouts starting in Grade 1) & girls in Grade 1 (age 6-7).
- Bluebirds: Grades 2-3 (age 7-9)
- Girl Guides: Grades 4-5 (age 9-11)
- Senior Girl Guides: Grades 6-12 (age 11-17)
The Girl Guides are always seeking enthusiastic adults who want to share their skills or talents, whether as a leader or as a short-term or even one-time resource. Any adult can volunteer: woman, man, parent, teacher, college student...having a child in the Girl Guides is not a requirement!
