ISB Panther Swim Team Coach Biographies

  

Andy Myers (Coach Andy)

 

With over 15 years of swim coaching experience at virtually all levels of swimming, Coach Andy returns for his fifth year as Head Coach of the ISB Panthers.  Prior to coaching at ISB, Andy coached in Colorado and Michigan where he coached High School All-Americans, an Age Group National Record breaker and a Masters World Champion.  As a swimmer, he lettered all three years in High School, broke a school record and captained both the Swim Team and the Water Polo Team his senior year.  At Oakland University (a top level Division 2 school) he swam and started on the Water Polo squad.  As a Masters swimmer, Andy won the 500 freestyle in the 35-39 age group in the Colorado State Championship.  Coach Andy is currently working with the Barracuda squad and coaches the Senior squad as well as fulfilling the Head Coach responsibilities.  He is Co-Head Coach of the Varsity squad during the Varsity season and is Aquatics Director for ISB.

 

Ratapong Sirisanont (Coach Nuk)

 

We are very pleased to have Coach Nuk return to our staff this year.  He is a 4 time Olympic swimmer for the Thailand specializing in the Individual Medley and Breaststroke events.  After attending Prep School swimming power Bowles Academy, he graduated from University of California at Berkeley in 2001 and competed in the NCAA Division 1 Championships 4 times during his time there.  As a coach, he was Thailand National Coach for the Southeast Asian Age Groups Championships in 2006 and 2007 as well as being District 10 Coach for the Thailand Youth games and National Games in 2007.  He brings excellent experience and enthusiasm to our program.  His responsibilities will be to coach the Marlin Squad and the Gold Squad.  Coach Nuk is also the Assistant Head Coach.  In addition, he is also our main liaison to the Thailand Swim Association and our link to Thai meets.

 

Nakbua Ruchikorn (Coach Gai)

 

Coach Gai is another coach we are excited to have back this year.  Coach Gai has worked with our elementary students for many years and proves time and again that patience and enthusiasm are the key ingredients in encouraging the younger swimmers.  Coach Gai also works as a PE instructor at Rose Marie Academy and teaches lessons out of Nichada pool.  Coach Gai has primary responsibility for the Shark, Minnow and Bronze Squads.

 

Amy Lobner (Coach Amy)

We are excited to have Coach Amy join our staff this year.  Amy joins our coaching staff this year bringing 14 years competitive swimming experience and extensive coaching experience.  As a swimmer, she qualified for Junior and Senior Nationals while in high school. She continued swimming at the United States Naval Academy and achieved All-American status. As a coach, she has experience coaching at all levels, from American summer league swimming, to age group , high school and masters. Professionally, she is also a pediatric nurse practitioner, which allows her to incorporate childhood development and health into her coaching. She will be working with the Swordfish and Silver squads.

  

Suthipong Srigram (Coach Golf)

Coach Golf started swimming when he was 8 years old. He has represented the Thailand National Youth Team at the ASEAN Youth Games, receiving a bronze medal in 200m breaststroke.  He also represented Thailand at the World University Games in China, representing swimming the 100m. breaststroke, 200m. breaststroke, and the 400 Medley Relay.  He studied at Thammasat University Faculty of Journalist and Mass Communication, majoring in Film and Photo.  Since 2003, Golf has coached at Chinnavorn School and RST.  He also coached recently at Ruamrudee International School as a coach for the senior team.
