Alumni

Thanks to the ISB Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing together our former students, Alumni can easily stay in touch with friends, former classmates and staff. Founded in 1983 by a handful of former ISB students from the classes of 1971, 1972 and 1973, what began as a list containing the names and addresses of approximately 100 Alumni has now grown into an organization with more than 6,000 members often gathering in both the United States and in Thailand.

ISB Alumni can now also benefit from an on-site Alumni Office dedicated to bringing together former students and faculty that currently reside in Thailand. Whether it be volunteer opportunities on campus, student internships within Alumni businesses, or just plain fun reminiscing at Alumni gatherings in Bangkok, our Alumni Office will have countless ways for you to keep that ISB flame burning.

For Alumni traveling to Bangkok, we strongly encourage you to visit us. Our 37 acre, state-of-the-art campus is something that you will not want to miss. Located in a beautiful, gated community known as Nichada Thani, no Alumni visit to Thailand would be complete without seeing this facility.

To post a message to fellow Alumni please visit our Alumni Guest Book page. For information about our U.S. based Alumni organization, please visit the ISB Network. To contact our on-site Alumni Office please email us at isbalum@isb.ac.th

  • Comment: I think of my time in Bangkok and at ISB as some of my most informative and enjoyable times. I attended ISB from January 1967 to June 1969. I was fortunate to attend at both campuses. We lived on soi 63 and on soi 71. ISB was my first exposure to a global vision of the world and a community made up of all ethnic backrounds and political interests. Those experiences still affect me to this day

  • Comment: Attended International School Oct. 1955 through Oct. 1957 which would've been 4th through just the beginning of 6th grade. Many fantastic memories exist of that period in my life. Somewhere I have at least one yearbook during that period. At that time, the 6th grade was when the Thai language was introduced in the class, but unfortunately, our family's time was up 2 months into the 6th grade and we had to come back to the U.S.

  • Comment: I attended 1955-1957 in the 4th, 5th, and the start of the 6th grade. I was disappointed to leave because back then part of the curriculum in the 6th grade was the Thai language. Somewhere I have a yearbook that I'm excited to find. I just came across this site, not knowing whether the school even existed anymore. Had many memorable experiences in Thailand.

  • Comment: Oh my gosh! ISB popped into my head the other day and I googled it. Had no idea there was a network and alumni connection. Had some great times from 1970 to 1972. Lived on Amara 3. Whole group of friends lived there, Vicki Vinson, Esther Williams, Mike Wiley, Bryan Bergeron, Ricky Earlywine. At school Regina Gross, who taught me how to crochet, Pat Curtis who taught me the saxophone, Pat Bauman, Gaby Benkovich, Joe Condrill and so many. Vicki and I passed notes in French class and we got caught but didn't get in trouble because we wrote them in French. Bowled on leagues at Siam Bowl. Went to Taipei, Taiwan with the Band and the Young Internationals. Played the tenor saxophone - got laryngitis the first day in Taiwan and couldn't talk the whole trip. What memories! And I was such a dork!!!! But it was still fun.

It had changed alot, but I was able to find my old soi, and sure enought the old house was still there!

Used to walk to the Kangaroo Bakery stopping at a Koi pond along the way. Geri (1966) graduated from ISB. Also attending Pat (1969), Barb (1977), and John (1979). I had 1st grade with Miss Pedussy in '66 and 2nd grade with Mrs. Novak in '67 in the hut. I was "Mike" way back then. We had a pet gibbon named George, a German Shepherd named King, and a Peke named Nit Noy. Lance and his sister lived behind us on Soi 12. Geri and Pat were friends with the Twing girls. I played Barbies with Kim--all on Soi 12.

  • Comment: I was an Air Force kid and my mother Mrs. Vera Deken was a 3rd grade teacher from 1973-1975. I was there February 1971-May 1975. I loved this school, and living 1/3 of my childhood in Thailand was an experience that has made a difference in life. I have never been back, but would love to someday. Remember the singing group the Young Internationals, the Sala where we ate outside, the teacher and students from all different countries, the uniforms????

I went to college in Wisconsin where I met my lovely wife and moved to the Orlando, FL area where we settled and have had 2 boys join the fold in the past 14 years we've been living here. If anyone passes by or comes to Orlando...please drop us a line!

I am so glad I still have my year book. When I look at the faces it seems like yesterday. We live in Hotel on Soi 3 for 6 months, then Soi 33 another 6. Spent most of my time at Siam and Asoke Bowing ally when not riding my bike all over Bangkok. To my best friend Bob Van Der Linden where are you!

  • Comment: ISB gave me a love of world and diversity at a young age. The experience is one I share. As a youth I attended 3 years at ISB, grades 2, 3, and 4 in the middle 1960's. The experience of Thai people, culture and diverse relationships at ISB enriched who I am today. My friends and classmates, I believe, were all first citizens of their counties and I remember them like it was yesterday. The Erawan yearbook is still a favorite read. I wish I could see those friends again to tell them what they all meant to me. I wish I could thank my teachers, too. I hope it is all as I fondly remember - a great place to learn and grow up! All the best ISB! Sincerely (Sawadi ca)??????

I am making a bucket list trip back to Bangkok this November after 36 years! I fondly remember the teachers and friends from school and soi 12. My claim to fame was that I was the 4 square champ! HA! I am currently a physical therapist at the University of Iowa. I would love to hear from old friends.

  • Comment: I attended ISB from 59 to 61 that would be 5th and 6th grades. I remember moving to a brand new campus in 60 and see from the website it has moved and grown considerably. My 2 yrs here were very memorable and a great experience. My father was the comptroller at JUSMAG and my mother worked there also. My sister Nancy would have been in the 8th and 9th grades. I would very much like to get in touch with Amy Ong her father worked for WHO.

  • Comment: I didn't graduate at ISB but I was in the 5th through 9th grades from 1968 through 1972. My father was stationed at JUSMAG. This time period is the most memorable of my youth; I had great friends in Thailand and I think about them often wondering how they are today. My father got stationed back at Fort Bragg, NC where I attended and graduated in 1976 at 71st HS. I joined the Army in 1979 and retired in 2002.
